AS 2011 ends 2012 begins and with it the future of the nation . Beginning in the wheatfields of Iowa, America will begin the procress of who will govern, and who will rule!( and as to who will win the Iowa caucuses, the repubican primaries may end on tuesday with Mitt Romney surging due to the (and finally I might add) suddent demand for lucidity in action in Iowa!)  There is very much at stake next year, and the least of that is the re-election of Barrack Obama! We are talking civil and personal rights, personal and social welfare and health, employment and employee rights, income equality and peace on a global scale! So as this year ends and a new one begins, make it your new years resolution to stay informed( hopefully by reading this blog) and get involved! Because its your future at stake!!!

How the Democrats stole X-mas(from the republicans)

With the republicans stinging from the groundswell of public rebuke over this Payroll tax cut fiasco, it is clear that for the republicans considerable doubt has arisen in the wake of this issue as it pertains to 2012. For the first time in a very long time, the republicans are looking vurnerable on the issues that are most important to the American people. And with the veil being lifted from the eyes of the people in the aftermath of this Tax cut deal, you can truthfully say that the democrats stole x-mas from the republicans as opposed to the other way around! Which was the intent of the republicans all along!! They say that this is the season of miracles, well for the democrats This was a x-mas miracle and they have Speaker Boehner to thank for it!!! because with this defeat, the speaker may have indeed handed President Obama the keys back to the White house in 2012!!

Saying No to the party of no!!!

A turning point may have been reached with this furor over the expiring Payroll tax cut. Because with the american public recoiling in horror at the sheer politics of the effort, and with republican leadership recoiling in horror of the thought of the tide turning in their effort to unseat OBama, and take back full control of capitiol hill, morning may have finally come to the House Of Representitives!!! This is clearly a hand that was overplayed, the veritable straw that broke the camels back! And as someone who was around for the last such tide turning debacle in the 90's, Sen Mcconnell sees a disaster in the making!!! America has finally, along with President Obama, said no to the party of no! America is saying enough with the politics and the posturing and though they may not like it, it is time for the House of Representitives to listen! This is people lives that you continue to manipulate for political fodder and benefit! The American people are tired of crisis after crisis, political game after political game, and despite all the efforts to paint the Obama administration as the culprit for everything that has gone wrong in America, this Payroll tax cut fiasco is showing the situation in America for what it truly is! The nightmare scenario for the republicans is coming to pass, a nightmare that Sen Mcconnell allready lived thru once, and clearly doesnt want to live thru again! America is finally saying no to the party of no and if they know whats good for them they better listen!!!

Politics and repercussions

As they on capitol hill( as per usual) cotninue to jockey for political position at the cost of the American  peoples peace of mind and security, we the people need to understand that in 2012 we have the chance and the power to make our voices heard, and to make our feelings known. Because make no mistake, there are those on capitol hill who count on our silence! Who take into account our supposed ignorance, who feel we are apethetic to all their doings there! Myself, I look at how, from day one, the republicans have focused on insuring that Barrack Obama fails( and if Obama is as smart as he fancies himself to be, he, and the DNC for that matter, needs to saturate the airwaves with advertisement after advertisement highlighting the statements of Rush Limbaugh, Michelle Bachman & Mitch mcconnell hoping that he fails, that he is a one term president and that stopping his agenda is my primary goal, statements made by those individuals in that order!) What has happened over the last four years, and indeed ,what continues to happen on capitol hill is a affront and a insult to the intelligence of America, and I am of the mind that Americans dont like being insulted or played for fools! And that, more than anything else, must be the repercussion for the politics that have been relentlessly played on captiol hill!! Nothing would please me more than to see the architects of all this political chaos run out of power as they were in 2008, and as they should be again in 2012, run out of Washington DC!!! Because to be frank, as long as the outrageous, powermongering, self serving, millionare defending, racist republicanism continues to have even a part of the stage, we as a nation will continue to suffer the repercussion of such politics!!!!!

Here we go again?

So, once more America is taken into the political breach by the naievete of President Obama in ever believing in Bi-partisanship on captiol hill, and the overreaching, all encompassing desire of the republican party to reassume the totoal political control they lost in 2008!!! Has there been one bill, one matter, that the republicans , since they regained control of the House, have reached consensus and agreement with the Obama administration? One?! Has there been one matter , one, since the republicans regained the house, that has not placed the quality of American lives in doubt? One?!! And, given this tunnel visioned, uncaring premise and stance that is continually taken by the republican party, would you, as a voter in 2012 find them fit to lead? Would you find the premise of them assuming  control a palatable one? I think the answer to that question is very clear, at least it is for me! And, as we are taken once more on a roller coaster ride in 2012, it will be up to every responsible voter to remember just who is the party and the people REALY responsible for taking the american people for this continous ride down the partisan political track!!!

Post Final Pub debate Analysis

With it all on the line, the Pubs didnt disapoint, and heck the Fox moderators even showed some fair and balaced moderating last evening in Iowa! And with it all on the line, the candidates showed that this race, until the data is gathered in Iowa, is wide open, and every one of the candidates could garner this first in the nation victory!Everyone went after Newt, Newt countered, Rick Perry picked up his debate game, as he analgolized ,like Tim Tebow in the final moments, Michelle Bachman showed her toughness( she hasnt done so well with out her red dress though) and Ron Paul was, for a Shining Moment, a voice of reason and sanity! Mitt Romney avoided serious damage, and clearly is in the drivers seat, but while he can survive a loss in Ohio, a loss in New Hampshire would be devastating! But right now, Mitt Romney is the only candidate with nothing to lose in Iowa and everything to gain!  Because if ,by some moment of Lucidity in the republican party, he wins Iowa, this race is all but over! But since when has Iowa been known for Lucidity?
Anyway now, finally the prelims are now over, its time for all the dust and smoke to settle and its time for the republican party to decide:WHO'S going to be the republican nominee!!!!???? JAN 3 2012 America. When  the battle for the future TRULY begins!!!

Pre Final Pub debate Analysis

Look for tonights Final Republican debate to be a veritable donnybrook(yes black people can say donnybrook) as the candidate push and jockey for that coveted position of the winner of the Iowa caucus. Newt will try to remain cool, but he is clearly feeling the heat, Mitt Romney  will continue to twist in the political winds and at the whims of a media that has turned solidly against him. A word of Advice Mitt, just be you, thats all you can be! And If i were you, I would convey that very message to the public this evening! Rick Perry may be in a position to make a stunning charge to the front here, watch out for him. And Michelle Bachman knows that she can win Iowa, having done it once, and tonight she will do everything tonight to remind people of that fact, or she should! Ron Paul will be Ron Paul, and Rick Santorum will Hope for a Miracle, while Jon Huntsman will wonder why they just dont seem to get him(Republican Voters) Look for tonight to be quite the republican spectacle in Iowa. because this is the end of the Beginning of the republican presidential nominating process(Thank the gods that be!!!)

The REAL state of the Republican race.

With all of the media pontificating over the Upcoming republican primaries, it is a wonder that anyone can make a real assessment of the candidates and whom or how they should vote. Well Pontificating aside, the fact of this race is that right now, Newt Gingrich is in a must win situation. He MUST win Iowa! For if he doesnt, then his so-called"surge" will be proven to be nothing more than a Media engineered sham! While Romney can survive losing Iowa, no other candidate will be as severely damaged by a loss in Iowa as Newt! While the other candidates can and will limp along out of Iowa, a loss for Newt Gingrich there will be simply devastating as in Howard Dean devastating. SO if i were Newt, I'd be feeling the heat right about now. Because Iowa, for him as noone else, is all or nothing!!!! THAT my friends , without all the media pontificating, is the REAL state of the republican presidential race!~

Another night in the mouth of madness!! While its clear that Mitt Romney is the best this current republican field has to offer, the continuing need for the republicans to appeal to the worst in their base compels them ever forward in undermining their best hope for success! The Iowa debate offered very little in surprises, indeed they(the debates) have only become fodder machines for  the media grist mill and that is so wrong and anethema to the process itself! Simply put, the 2012 election is fast becoming a all or nothing gamble for both the republicans and the democrats because its clear that the winner will take all, and the loser will take the hardest of political falls!

The Republican debate tonight is looming in its significance and importance. For, as we get ever closer to the primaries, the effort intensifies to insure that Mitt Romney is not the nominee!Newt Gingrich reminded everyone, with his Palestinians are a "invented" people comment, of the reason why he was one of the most hated political figures of the 90's ,and why. prior to this media engineered "surge' he was a long shot to be the nominee! But this evening will go a long way towards seeing who will be first to truly set foot on the path to the republican nomination. A post debate Analysis will come on Monday so enjoy the fireworks!!!!

Defending The Donald

While he's has been, shall we say, off the beaten path politically  on many issues, the king of the birthers, Donald Trump is not wrong , nor should he be castigized or   made as a scapegoat simply for hosting a debate! The fact that he hold such prominence politically, speaks to the tactics that have been pursued and supported for the last three years by the republican party as a whole!Donald Trump is not the first political monster that the republicans have surreptitously created in the Quest for Fire that has been the last four years in America. And the fact that nearly all those who have declined to attend have done so after seeking out and basking in the 'glow' of Mr. Trump when it was politically expedient is nothing more that hypocracy! This sudden show of "morality" by the republican party is like closing the barn door after the cows have gotten out!!! I see nothing wrong with Donald Trump Moderating a debate, because the fact of the matter REALLY is: The message and the mantra from the republican party would be, and will be the same be it Mr. Trump or say Rush Limbaugh, or Sean Hannity or even Glenn Beck as moderator! For a good while Donald Trump fed the republican party, and for them to bite the hand that has fed them is a clear example of the desparate straits the republican party finds itself  in!Trump may be many things, but he clearly is not the issue here! And If this keeps up, the republicans will have four more years to examine what is indeed the real issue with the Republican party!

And so it goes in Washington DC, the obstruction and politicking that has driven Americans to the streets!Why is it that the only thing congress can agree on is their own wealth and benefits? The American people clearly need to be placed above politics and the game of thrones, especially with millions unemployed, our forces deployed nationally, and with our massive debt burden. But for nothing more than the sake of politics our nation is in a quagmire, and for nothing more than the lust for power we are in political gridlock!! Not one issue, not a one in the last three years hasnt come down to last minute struggle and failed  compromise. This congress may be the worst in history, even worse than the one that Newt Gingrich headed, and by the way Where is Speaker Boehner By the way? He's been as quiet as a mouse TOO quiet!!! Simply put what is going on in DC and what has gone on in DC for the last 3 years is a insulting sham and a shame and all the participants involved need to be held to account!!  Now  a word about hope & change! Gov Chris Christie blamed Americans recently for the failings of his elected comrades. Well Gov Christie let me say that believing in Hope and desiring change is not, and never will be garbage, indeed those are two of the building blocks that this nation stands upon, but the fact that from day one republicans like yourself vowed in word and deed to defeat and deny hope and change THAT is garbage!!! Enough said!

Everything Old is Newt Again!

When I see President Obama dealing with yet more obstruction from this congress, this time with the Payroll Tax cut, it brings back memories of a past time, a old time, back when I had a Underground political  blog(before blogs were called blogs) called "The World Today". And one of the myriad of things I discussed and expressed opinion about, and provided advice on, was how to deal with the obstructionist congress of that time ,and the Speaker of same ,which was Newt Gingrich!!! And Now ,just as then, we in america are listening to the same old political song! And now, just as then ,we are watching as a popular president is forced to bang his head against a political stonewall! A stonewall created in the hopes of securing total political power! Yep everything old is Newt again!!! The racism is back, the extreme policies and candidates are back, its 1996 all over again! Hoo-Ray!( and yes, I'm being sarcastic by the way!!)

Courage of your convictions(Herman Cain's exit from the GOP race)

SO Herman Cain has exited the GOP presidential race, driven out by the media, personal peccidillos, and politics! And the sad fact of this is that, had he simply the courage of his own convictions, what could havebeen a great victory for him, has led to a disheartening defeat! This was not the time to cut and run, this was the time to fight, this was the time to seize the moment! People may ridicule Bill Clinton about it, but when he seized the moment with his"I did not have sex with that woman"comment, it was that moment that turned the tide and led to his second term! The moment when he, instead of cutting and running, decided to stand and fight! And I daresay, he had  far more to lose than Herman Cain. And look at the result! By standing up and showing that he had the courage of his convictions, he(Bill Clinton) went from the possibility of being one of the worst presidents in history to becoming one of the best!(and it must also be noted, there was another GOP candidate who is currently in this race who also lacked the courage of his convictions and who also got out of politics when faced with such a dillema as well, his name being current GOP front runner Newt Ginghrich!) The courage of your convictions.The willingness to seize the moment, and the gumption to not seek the easy road out, but to stand and fight!! Its sad that Herman Cain didnt possess these qualities, Because it is that which separates Presidents from also rans!!!! And it is that which separates good presidents from GREAT ones!!!

Heart is in the wrong place( Senate GOP tax plan)

After seeing the basic premises of the Senate GOP tax plan, clearly the GOP's heart is in the wrong place! Firstly, in the middle of the worst economy since the great depression and with Unemeployment hovering at 9%, they want to cut jobs, Federal jobs! News flash GOP! A job is a JOB, doesnt matter if its A Gov. job or no! And you have been so wrong on that score for so long!!! But what really struck me about this plan was the hilarious premise of Testing Millionares???? What the hell is that???!!! Are you a millionare or simply pretending to be one? If you have a high income, but its not truly a millionaire income then you are spared paying a fair share? It is such madness like this, that has endeared the republican party so much to the masses as of late.Indeed it is policies like this that has driven everyday americans to occupy the streets!!! The GOP, the party of which Grinching is a full time job!

The mark of Cain!

Hilarious how, with the emergence of yet another sex scandal ,the media is pressuring Herman Cain to get out of the republican race. Nice how the media, the bastion of Unbiased and responsible journalism is focusing on such drivel when the histories of so many of the republican candidates are so apparent! Simply put while I do not support Herman cain, I will defend to the death his right to run! Im tired of hearing from this media pundit and that media pundit how he was never a'serious" candidate! Can anyone in the media explain to me why? Why isnt Mr. cain as serious a prospect as Newt, as Michelle, as Rick, or even as Mitt. TO take a salient point from Mitt and to quote it here"What is sauce for the goose is now sauce for the gander!" Herman Cain right or wrong, serial philanderer or no, has every right to run and should garner the same merit and consideration as every other candidate, and shame on the media for treating and considering him as otherwise!!! While he may be embroiled in scandal, as the saying goes, let he among  his fellows who is wthout sin , cast the first stone!!! Whatever direction the candidacy of Herman Cain takes, let it be decided by Mr. Cain himself and those who would support him, not a biased and overzealous media seeking to direct and cultivate the process!!!!

Political leftovers

A few leftovers for the political plate! Is it time for the Occupy movement to occupy the message as opposed to city landscapes? Id say yes. The movement has been established and its time to employ it as a force for the change that it seeks!!!! Watch out 2012! The anybody but Romneny thing only highlights that it's the power that the republicans are interested  in, not the nation! What will happen if Michelle Bachman wins again In Iowa? Talk about upsetting the apple cart!!! Do you think Sarah Palin is now kicking herself for not getting in? Will this election become a "teachable moment" for President Obama? I hope not, because to be frank, If he loses then we lose BIG!!! Whatever happened to the TEA Party? Good riddance to Republican rubbish! With it being apparent that the Black vote will be the bulwark once again for democratic hopes dont you think its time that black issues were made priority by the party? If Obama loses in 2012 who will step forward as the new leader of the democratic party? And if the republicans lose in 2012 who will step forward as the leader of the republican party? Well thats enough of these political leftovers for today!

Post debate Analysis and a word about the political future.

Simply put the national security debate this past Tuesday on CNN, while a lively dicussion only highlighted just how serious this coming election will be for America. Because it showed that if the republicans enter into power in 2012, we will be back at war in 2013! It was clearly evident from the back & forth of nearly everyone on stage(John Huntsman being the exception) that Iran is in the crosshairs! And I ask you America how sad would it be for our troops to come home from the middle east, and then be redeployed right back there for a war with Iran? Not once in this debate did you hear anything about diplomacy in regards to foreign Policy, and that should be disturbing to nearly every american! We have been at war and our troops abroad for nearly 12 years now, and if the republicans get into office that period will indeed be extended. Asfar as the comprehensive review of this debate, clearly Mitt Romney continued on his steady path and nothing is seeming to change than in any debate.But the fact remains that these debates will do little to decide the political future. What happens from Jan thru March will decide the republican nominee, and until that process has begun and primaries are truly engaged in, until we have actual votes cast, and winners & losers established, this race is wide open for all of the candidates who have fought and hung in there as this race to the republican nomination progresses! AS to the political future, it will come down simply to what mantra will hold the day! The anti Obamacare/Pelosi/Democratic/tea party mantra held sway in 2010 and of course the Change/Yes we can mantra held sway in 2008. what mantra will lead the public to the ballot box in 2012? It remains to be seen, but to the victor will go the spoils! And that is not a political mantra, but a fact!!!!

Pre debate analysi & a word about 2012

Tonights republican debate focusing on national security should prove to be very interesting, a veritable refuge from reality for many  of the prospective nominees! I look forward to the extreme policies that will be advocated tonight and to see who will come closes to actually being a voice of reason in the wilderness that is Republican Securtiy policy! But, whatever the case and result of this debate is, and indeed whomever out of this field goes on to become the Repubican nominee, In the end, 2012 will come down to Barrack Obama, plain and simple! Because since election day 2008 this man has had a electorial camapign put in place against him, he has been ,for four years now, target no. 1 and enemy no. 1! The treasure trove of sound bites that he can avail himself of are many, from the infamous Limbaugh statement, to Mitch mcconnel's partisan posture!This election will not be the American moment of 2008. There will not be a Hillary Clinton in the race for Barrack Obama to springboard off of, or to benefit from as the "other" "anti" candidate. This race will be all about President Obama, a very personal and personalized race! The preview of which was seen in 2010, when the republicans ground machine outworked and outdid the democrats in conjuction with the Rise of their Tea party arm! Simply put the time for the dems to be at work was yesterday! Because with the historic gains of 2008 on the threshold of being wiped away, it is time for the democrats and Barrack Obama to light a fire in America because if they do not, then they are about to get burned by the republicans who are trying to light a fire all their own!!!

OWS VS TEA PARTY a tale of two movements

With the rise of the OWS(Occupy Wall Street)movement, there has been a continued(and erroneous in my opinion) comparison between the two movements. Simply Put the OWS is a SOCIAL movement, geared towards correcting social ill's and seeking social justice, while the TEA party is a political movement seeking political goals, REPUBLICAN political goals! The OWS movement is by the people, for the people, while the TEA party is by republicans, for republicans! And this statement can be supported by the fact that A:The Tea party caucuses with the republicans on capitol hill, and B the tea party's platform paralells the republican platform. So as the saying goes, if it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck then quack, quack! It's a duck!!!
These two movements are moving in two oppostie directions and clearly have two opposite goals, and due to that it is, in my opinion, a insult to the OWS momvement to equate them with the TEA party! OWS is about people, the 99 percent, and the TEA party is about politics and the support and bolstering of the 1 percent, clear and present republicanism!!! The OWS is championing fair and equal treatment, the TEA party is about division and classism, not to mention racism and sexism! SO given these facts, and I defy anyone to dispute them, I would ask those in the media to stop equating the Tea party with the OWS movement. since, in word ,deed, action, & history it is proven to be far from the case!!!!!!

Those who do not learn from the mistakes of the past----

There is a saying, I know we've all heard it at one time or another in our lives, the saying regarding how if you dont learn from past mistakes you will repeat them in the future. Well, as evidenced in the latest social effort being made for change and justice, the Occupy Wall Street movement, this saying is so true! Because ,as with Ghandis effort in India, and as with the civil rights movment in America, once more the status quo, in a effort to forestall and deny change has trotted out the failed tools of the past! The tools of police violence and mass incarceration, and the propagandizing of A movement! Well again, quoting the alaskan snow queen Sarah Palin, Hows that workin for ya?!! You see we've been down this road before and we know where it leads! We remember Ghandi in India, we remember  Dr.King. We remember the water hoses and dogs, we remember the bombings of churches, and the shootings of students at Kent state, we remember the beatings, the gassings, you name it,  And out of those fires came social change and social justice! And now, just as it was then, social change and justice is being forged! As the saying goes those who not learn from the mistakes of the past are destined to repeat them in the future, Well, to the status quo I say the future is NOW!!!!

Politics leadership & the OWS(Occupy Wall Street Movement)

With the continued strengthening of the OWS(Occupy Wall Street) movement world wide, I think that it is time for a comprehensive overview of what it means for Politcs, what it says about leadership, and what the movement itself pertains!!!
! As far as politics goes ,OWS is and will be a game changer!OWS is not the wolf in sheeps clothing that The Tea party was and is, and it must be clear to anyone and everyone that it is OWS and not the TEA who will be the differance maker in the 2012 elections. As far as leadership goes, there has been a clear and sustained failure by leadership to address the OWS movement, indeed leaders have avoidied it, and simply hoped it will go away, but in the words of Sarah Palin, How is that workin for ya? Bloomberg completely dropped the ball, and indeed his failure and policy towards the OWS movement is what created the failed template of violence and police action that has exacerbated the problem nationally and indeed internationally! This is a major issue, you cant police it way, or jail it away!It is long past time for leaders to engage the OWS movement! Its time to bring them to the table, and discuss the issues!Its time to bring them into the democratic process and I will be the first to say it, the leader who does this will be the leader who reaps the political benefits! And as to the OWS movement itself, simply put, as it grows larger, it threatens to collapse under its own weight! Its own collective nature being the greatest threat to its success. We are indeed the 99, many speaking as one, but it is time for that voice to congeal, it  is time for the point that has been sharpened over the last few months to be directed and driven home! Its time to take it to the next level, the level that will create the change that is being sought. Simply put, the OWS movement can no longer be delayed , deferred or denied, be it by politics, be it by leadership(or the lack of same) or even by the movement itself! This is a movement whos time has come and that time is now!!! In my own opinion , speaking individually, and not as a representitive of the OWS of course! So that is My overview, and I hope, for the nations sake that it is taken to heart! because this movement and the handling of same could be one of Americans greatest successes to date, but further mishandling of the situation could lead to one of America's greatest disasters!!!

Post Pub debate Staright talk

Not much to say about the Saturday night Republican debate(since it happened nearly exactly as I posted on saturday) Rick perry had a solid performance which went a long way towards helping people forget his senior moment, Herman Cain passed the intelligence test, and of course there was Newt reliving his glory days of 1996( except of course the part about leaving office in disgrace) and that is one of the things that is facinating me regarding this republican election, the political skeletons that are being convienently ignored by the media and many of the candidates in their public pursuit of the presidency!! For instance Newt ,as i said, left office in disgrace! Rick Santorum was voted out of office, Mitt was a one term Gov. There are these facts and so much more substance that has been left untouched in this debate process, and i am surprised that candidates like Michelle Bachman, Rick Perry and others , seemingly in order to maintain the republican lovefest, are blinding themselves to the facts! Because it is indeed the facts that should be thinning the republican herd here. Substance not style, but again we are talking about republicans here! This is a race for all the marbles here, and the fact that so many truths are being ignored here , in a heated and close race is insane!!! This is a race for the presidency people as we say in Boxing when a fight lacks action(and this fight clearly does(which is why it is still so undecided) its time to Mix it up!!!!

Pre debate Straight talk!

With yet another debate about to unfold this evening, this one supposedely on Foreign Policy, We we will watch ,with baited breath, to see what unfolds. Look for Newt Gingrich, spurred by the positive media of the past few days, to glom much of the spotlight, and also look for A Rick Perry surprise( personally I think he simply needs to abandon the telepromter and go off the cuff! After all whats he got to lose now? )Herman Cain will be tested, Ron Paul has no foreign Policy, Santorum will rant, Michelle Bachman remains a question. But tonight I beleive that , with only Mitt Romney, and his olympic experience being the only comeptitor, John Huntsman as a former Ambassador will shine. its tonight, its prime time, its the republicans (yet again). Now to see who will be the talk of Sundays morning media, for good or ill!

Politics & the new morality

You are hearing it here first people, the next big political issue will not, be jobs, or the economy, or foreign Policy. The next major issue that will be of political concern in America will be the new Morality of America. And make no mistake it will be a battlefield issue! In the past few months we have seen Veterans booed, the death penalty cheered and supported whether applied fairly or no, we have had abandonemt of responsibilty to our brethern supported and, weve had the unemployed told to blame themselves! We've had protestors beaten and derided and we've had people seeking justice against immorality regarded as immoral themselves!!! Whats is going on in this nation?Have we abandoned all sense of decorum, all sense of decency? This Penn State issue has put a spotlight on the new morality in America, and it is not a pretty sight! Be it this Penn State issue, the issues that fuel Occupy wall street, the Herman Cain scandal, continued racism and so much more, there seems to be a problem with morality in America and it can directly be attributed to the politics of the day! And this new "conservatism" where the challenging of the status quo is challenged itself is something that must be dealt with, and in the coming election those who support such conduct must be addressed! Because this America where the status quo trumps morality, is more important than justice, where the status quo takes predecense and priority over the safety of children is not America that can lead the world, and it is not a America where democracy can live!!!! The new morality THAT is the greatest danger this nation now faces!!!

Post republican debate analysis/and a word about Herman cain

In the aftermath of the CNBC Republican debate we can now say that nothing has really changed! Mitt Romney still looks like the class of the bunch. The fact that this process is getting old is clearly reflected in that the only issue of substance the media could find to discuss regarding the debate, was Rick Perry's brain freeze moment(and no it is not a game ender for Perry) The fact of the matter is, all of the candidates have long ago crossed over into the realm of overexposure. And this media strategy may well backfire on the republicans as they seek the white house and the senate. Because, quite frankly, these debates have went from serious buisness, to much ado about nothing!These debates have undermined the republican base, not strengthened it. And it will indeed be a challenge on whomever emerges from the primaries to re-energize it! Simply put, for all these debates, and all the media speculation and procrastination, not a one of these candidates are or can be ruled out of the race! This is a matter that the people will truly decide. So simply put, everyone stay in the pool!!! Because until Iowa, for everyone, the water is fine!!!!

Now a word about Herman Cain, is it me, or is the media trying to paint Mr. Cain as shall we say,Not intelligent? Now, IF,there is any racism surrounding Mr. Cain's bid, I think it may be centered in that! And i think all the media pundits who are overtly, or subvertly pursuing this tack needs to stop! I am in no means a supporter of Mr. Cain but let's call a spade a spade here! Mr. Cain is no more intellectually challenged than the rest of the candidates so lets get off of that stereotype shall we!!!???? Herman cain has plenty in his record and platform to be against, we dont need racism added to the mix!!!

Pre debate Posting

 As the republicans debate this evening, I wonder how long it will be before Newt Gingrich takes the debate moderators to task about the Hermain Cain issue Inflitrating the debate?!  I also wonder if there is any republican who has a plan that doesnt include tax cuts? As Far as Herman Cain goes, being a black man, I have to give him the benefit of the doubt, but this I do know(and something that Herman should learn from) if this was Obama, Neither Herman Cain nor the republicans would be crying out about racism or politics!! If the shoe were on the other foot, Mr. Cain would say "blame yourself'! I think Troy Davis is exacting a little revenge here! Clearly the republicans are doing themselves irreparable harm in this pre- primary process, and unless a candidate emerges from the beginning in the early caucuses and primaries, its only going to get worse for the republicans! Tonight I look for a lot of swinging for the fences especially from Michele Bachman and  Rick Perry! And also tonight we will hear the return of something that has disappeared over the last week or so: 9-9-9!!! Can herman cain re-stablish it, tonight we will see!

They may go down as the 2012 election camapigns most famous last words, Herman Cain, who famously told the Occupy wall street posters to "blame yourself" for not being employed or rich, Herman Cain, who decried the existance of racism as a factor in modern America is now blaming any and everyone for his current political woes, and finding a racist in every newsroom!!! I've said it before  and i'll say it a million times more, Karma is a Bytch!!!! And when she strikes, she allways, allways leaves well earned regret behind!!! If you forget where you come from Mr. Cain karma will allways find a way to remind you!!!SO dont blame Rick Perry, dont blame Mitt Romney, dont blame the media, and dont blame racism, as you said Blame yourself!!! And, as you also said to the occupiers, Man up!!!!! Because this is politics, and at this level, they play rough!!!!

Paging Sarah Palin(the republican Mess)

Does anyone think that sarah Palin is regretting her decision not to enter this race for president? Because with the weakness of this presidential field exposed for all to see, it is clear that if Sarah Palin would have entered, it would have been a cakewalk for her to the nomination! The republicans are in trouble and they know it! They are seeing all the efforts, all the stonewalling, all the obstruction, literally going down the tubes!  They are calling for a savior, but noone is emerging! And the sad thing is, the pre primary season is detroying their best hopes!!! So I wonder how long before the call goes out: Sarah Palin, paging Sarah Palin!!!!! Oh where oh where has Sarah gone, oh nwhere , oh where could she be?

Physician heal thyself!!!

How much does the old adage apply to us here in America? Because while we support and participate in the arab spring, why arent we addressing our own little American autumn that is currently taking place in America? Because we are committing as much terrorism against the people involved in Occupy Wall Street as they have done in Syria, as they have done In Egypt, as Quaddafi did in Libya! People are being shot in Oakland, in Chicago, people have been beaten In NYC, people have been gassed, jailed and more! I think that the adage does apply here: Physician heal thyself!! And if America wants to continue to lead in the world, then it needs to address the issue itself has at home! The issue of the One percent vs the 99!!!!

Not past racism yet!!!

With the rise(if you wanna call it that) of Hermain Cain in the republican ranks, once again people are presenting the silly notion that America is getting past racism, as usual blinding themselves to the fact!  And the fact is that too many folks are co-opting their race in order to simply get by ,to get in and be accepted, particularly on the conservative side. And that is doing very little to get us past racism in America! We need leaders who are going to stand up and speak out as it pertains to the continued problem of race in America, not leaders who are going to turn a blind eye to it! We need leaders who are not going to shy away from the challenge! As the saying goes what good is the man who gains the world at the cost of his own soul? And quite frankly that is what we face here, not the needed addressing of Race and racism in America, but the gain of the individual, not people as a whole! Asa leader rises so should his people, and if the people aint rising then quite frankly you arent leading!!! SO lets not get it twisted, we are in no way near, in America, in any way towards passing racism or putting it behind us! And until we get leaders of color, who are in the position to foster the debate, to ACTUALLY DO SO, we wont get past it!!!

Change & the occupy movement(yes we were SERIOUS!!!)

What is being missed in the rise of the Occupy movement by the media and the Political establishment is that the people, the same people who voted for change in 2008 were serious about it!!!! And the fact is that it was the failure of  it(change) to be delivered, and the stonewalling of  it(change) that has led to the growing frustration of the people as a whole and  it has manifested itself  into this occupy movement!  So it is beyond belief when you hear the current mantra that there is no message by the Occupiers! It is the same message that was shouted throught America in 2008! It is the same candor that vaulted a first term Senator into the white house! It is the same furor that took the republicans out of power in 2008! It is the clear and overall need for CHANGE!!! And, as can be clearly seen now(except by the establishment media and politicans) the people were very SERIOUS about it!!!
America is ready for change, America wants change and its time to stop stonewalling it, and slow walking it and begin to  fast track it!!! Change Now!!!!
because as can be seen all over the world the people are seriously ready for it!!!

The Barbradying of the Occupy Movement

If you have ever watched the Tv series "South Park" then you have heard of the character "Officer Barbrady" who, in the middle of all the chaos that usually arises in South Park, admonishes the people to'move along, theres nothing to see here!" This is the stance that most leaders, politicans and media have taken towards the Occupy movement! And make no mistake this is a movement, A social movement, Not a political vehicle like the Tea Party! But while the route of silence and convienent blindness has been taken in response to the Occupy Movement, it continues to grow!It has spread nationwide and globally, and while people hope for it to simply go away, or be policed away it just aint happening people! The people have issue and they are speaking with one voice from Wall street in NYC to City hall in Oakland CA. Now the only question that  remains is when  will elected leadership get the message and begin to address the concerns that have clearly been expressed?! Because though  you may not want to see it America, though you may want to deny it America, though you hope it will simply go away America, this is a rising tide! A tide that will sweep away the status quo created by greed and the pursuit of same! Yes there is something to see here, and the people in the Occupy movement demand that you Look!!!And yes America the world is watching!!!

The REAL Matrix(Occupy wall street)

People protesting injustice and inequality in the streets, its American history, as american as apple pie, as important to our lives and the quality of same as breathing. something that is consitutionally written and supported, So knowing this why do we continue to hear Americans pooh,poohing and propagandizing the Occupy movement? It's clear that we in America  need remedial courses in American history for many ASAP!!! It's clear that we in America have not learned from the mistakes of the past, and we are indeed now repeating them in what was supposed to be the future!!! Its sad that in America we have people who are aware that they are in A corporate matrix, that they are nothing more than food for the corporate beast, and they like the Joe Pantolino character in the movie would rather be a slave to the machine than fight for a better life! Well excuse the you- know -what out of me! Excuse me for not accepting injustice and inequality, excuse me for not accepting greed, excuse me for being in the spirit of DR King, of Ghandi, of the founding fathers of America.! Excuse me for not wanting to be a slave of the machine! In America and all over the world people are standing up and speaking out! As they have throught history! Because real freedom is not free, and protests like the Occupy movement are the price you must pay! Simply put, for those of you truly content in ther matrix, I feel sorry for you. But I brim with pride for those who struggle against it, like Washington at Valley Forge, Like Ghandi in india, Like Dr King in Selma! This struggle is a battle that must be fought, and for you and your children, and your childrens children, it is a battle that must be won! Or do you really want to be nothing more than Cogs in the Corporate matrix?

Where the blame is!!!

As the occupy movement grows and as the politial season flows, I have observed that most politicans are blaming the victims as it were, to the state of affairs in America today.Be it republicans like Herman Cain telling the Wall Street protestors to'blame yourself" Or Michelle Bachman saying to"blame the white house". Or be it Democrats like Barney Frank on MSNBC blaming the protestors for not voting democrat in the 2010 mid terms, it seems that the people are being blamed for the mess that politics and politicians have wrought! Simply put, the republicans were virtually handed tax cuts BY president Bush way back in 2002! A major surplus was squandered, everything was done, under a then republican controlled captiol hill to facilitate the climate that, to this day republicans swear  would create jobs! Well news flash republicans, it hasnt!!!! The unemployement rate has risen ,along with the income of the rich, steadily since the republicans took control back in 2000! So for that we, the people, should "blame ourselves"?

And the democrats? In 2008 we, the people, spoke in one voice for change!We handed Barrack  Obama the keys to the car, we gave him a democratic majority, control of the house and senate, with a unpredecented public mandate, and what did we get? Compromise to surrender and political capitulation!!! And promise and opportunity lost due to same!!! And its somehow our fault for your failure democrats, to take the ball that we gave you and run with it?

I think we all know where the blame lies, and that is why people from Wall St to Hong Kong are now out in the streets, because the people know who has failed who!!! The failure is clear and both Political parties Repubican and Democrat are culpable!!! And due to that failure the people have risen up , as they should in times like these! And for that they should not be castigized, they should not be cast as radicals, or hippies. What they are, is Americans one and all! Looking for the leadership and action that you, to a man, continue to fail to provide! Like Nero fiddling as Rome burns! And until you somehow find a way to become leaders, become what the people have for far too long waited for, then it is you and only you who bears the blame here!!! Thats where the Blame lies, right on capitol Hill in Washington DC!!! Not with the people who Occupy Wall St and other city streets worldwide!!! They are the leaders that you should be, they are focused on what you shuld be focused on, and they are taking more action than you ever will!!!

Iraq unoccupied & America Occupied

As we prepare(finally) to unoccupy Iraq, finally correcting the wrong turn we made in our "war on terror' We need to have greater focus from Both the current occupant of the white house, and those who would like to take up residence in it, on A movement that is sweeping not only America, but the world!!! From Wall street to Tokyo Cites are being occupied by people, everyday citizens of the world who are crying our for justice! People, everyday citizens who are crying out for action! And with the voice of the people being raised WORLDWIDE, you are going to sit there and act like you cant hear it? And even worse act like you dont understand, you cant comprehend?
You try to politicize the issue and say that we need to lay it at Obama's door? Well, when people are protesting the same issue in far away places like Tokyo, Or Rome, that arguement doesnt really hold water does it? The issue of justice, inequality, and greed is not confined to America, but the symbol of all that is wrong in this world has become clearly defined, and it is WALL ST!!! The economic terror and policies of Wall street have done far more damage to America and the world than Al Queda ever has, and those polices are a proven threat to world order and security!
So, with these facts and truths being so evident, and with the people AROUND the world being so fcosued on them, I think that it is time to stand down from a War footing, its time to stand down from the war on terror, and focus on the REAL threat to world security! The policies and politics of greed and inequity!The people are demanding it, and as representitives of the people you need to simply address the issue, not try to spin it, or co-opt it for political use! Smply put, the people are demanding ,worldwide, for you to take action, and rather than look for leaders in the occupy movement, you need to do what you were elected and entrusted to do and LEAD!!!! The people have spoken and  are speaking! They want a end to inequality, inequity and blatant greed! The people want jobs, and fairness, but most of all the people want to see ACTION, and a end to politics (AND MEDIA)that seek to preserve the status quo!!! A status quo of greed inequity and injustice that around the world far too many have grown comfortable with!TO paraphrase Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon 2" Lets see some action U dumb son of a BITCH!!!!"

Friday Potpourri(and a word about the occupy movement)

One down & one to go! The Iraq war, a war we should have never been in , is finally over! we will be out of Iraq by years end! Now about Afghanistan----! Yes its time we got tough with the Pakistani's! For indeed they have become the new Afghanstian for terrorists, and we give them far too much aid for that!!!  With the brusing pre-primary campaigns being waged by the republican hopefuls, will any of them have anything left for when the real process begins? what happens now In libya will decide the future of the middle east, there is too much unharnessed chaos afoot there, and we must keep a watchful eye on the region and do everything necessary to see that democracy gains there! Saddam, Gaddafi, Mubarak, why do these fools and tyrants wait around to die? If I had a tyrants money, its either switzerland or brazil for me!  What fools these tyrants be!!! Who Killed Gaddfi, who cares?, Dead and gone end of story! Despite all the political harrumphing and the like on capitol hill, nothing concerning jobs is moving, keep up the bad work congress!!! that end the potpourri for today!

Now a word about the occupy wall street movement

In the sixties the people were aroused and the counter culture movement was born, and despite all of the efforts to the contrary,   it succeeded and America was the better for it,!America, due to the efforts of the counter culture movement, became a more moral place, a fairer  place, a more equitable place, a decent place. Now here we are, some 5 decades later and the people have arisen once again as the situation has demanded. Because once again, America has forgotten its true morality, America has forgotten fair play, America has forgotten equity, America has abandoned decency! And with the situation demanding action, the people of this nation have risen to answer the call!All over this nation people, young and old, have risen and took a stand for decency, for fairness, for equity, for morality, against the one place in America which has come to symbolize  immorality, indecency, inequity, and unfair treatment, WALL ST! Because Wall Street and the values of same have co-opted and corrupted America! Wall St. and the worship and politics of same has created the America we now live in where it is acceptable for some to have all and for more to have none! A America where its acceptble for people to be homeless, to lack what should be every citizens guaranteed right to have a home, to have enough to eat, a job and a education, to have basic human rights and conditions denied them! These values  are what the Wall st movement stands up against, as did the counter culture movement in the 60s before them! It's not the end of the world. This nation survived the 60s and became better for it, and this nation will survive the occupy Wall st movement, and it will the better for it!(despite what the panicked establishment of today might say) The world isnt ending, its changing for the better, and the people, as  usual, not the politicans, not the media, not the ESTABLISHMENT, are creating the change!!!! SO its time to face facts! Change is coming, real change! And if youre smart from Washington to Wall st, you better get on the band wagon!!!!Occupy wall st!!!!!! The counter culture lives!!!!! On the Obama watch

The hits keep coming on the Obama watch!!  With the liberation of Libya now complete, President Obama has a whole lot of Foreign Policy success to present to the people in 2012, and while they may try to spin it, and they will, simply put, A win is a win!!! America's out of Iraq, Bin laden is dead, the Arab spring is changing the Middle east for the better, and now Libya is free!Not bad for a president and Administration with no foreign policy experience!!! ALL this on the Obama watch! And with Syria and Yemen tettering on the brink there is more good news to come!
So while they debate over who will be the one to challenge the president for his seat in 2012 from the republican side, they clearly better come with their A game! Because while the economy may be tanking, our foreign policy is definately better off than it was four years ago!!!

The Pubs Vegas debate

Simply put, the Republican debate last evening in vegas was great entertainment , if nothing else! The chaos and high drama of last evening was more like a episode of jersey shore than it was a debate between prospective leaders of our future here in America!! From Anderson Cooper smiling Like the cat who ate the canary in the midst of the madness, to the said madness of the debate itself, This was a showcase of what is truly wrong with the political process and why People in America have taken to the streets! As far as who won the debate, clearly it was CNN, because they garnered enough sound bites to fuel their political hyperbole for days to come! But as to who lost, I'd say america lost.Because with this show of pandering and political posturing, not for the interest of America, but in the interests of Power and Politics served nothing! We have had several debates now on the republican side of the Aisle, and i ask you, has any opinion really been formed, is anyone benefitting from this besides the media? This is not about ratings and sound  bites this is about the future of the nation, a nation in chaos and turmoil, and instead of hearing and seeing leaders addressing issues we have candidates acting like Ron, Snooki and all the rest of the Jersey shore cast! Simply put we  can and must do better than this, there is too much at stake here! Lincoln and Douglas must be turning over in their graves right now! Debates are supposed to shwocase leaders , and last night showcased none!!! And if this is the best that the republican party has to offer, then Barrack Obama will be a two term president guaranteed!!!

A evening With the Occupy Wall street movement

After rah, rahing, and huzzahing for far too long to the actions of the Occupy movement, I felt that it was time that I stepped forward and actually saw what the movement was all about. So yesterday, I went to a general assembly in Albany NY. to get a sense and feel of the movement!
 Let me say here, the people involved in Occupy Wall Street, if they are anything at all like who were assembled last evening in Albany, they make me proud to be a American, and it should make everyone feel the same! This is no tea party( a pox on you Eric Cantor!) These are no closet racists rising up in response to the premise of a black man in control of America! These are no political tools or puppets! These are people, young & old ,rising up and giving  the voice that current leaders arent using, these are people, young & old, addressing issues that the leadership isnt!  The occupy wall street movement is the voice of the people as one!And I love how they are doing all they can not to create leaders and such figures, figures that the media will focus and build strories around as they would very much like to do. Since the media is more about entertainment and less about information everyday! They are focusing on the issues at hand! The issues of unemployment, homlessness, education and such, and how disparities are somehow acceptable and status quo in this the richest nation in the world!! The occupy wall street movement is indeed democracy in action! Real democracy not the controlled BS that we have been fed everyday!!! It is a movement in the spirit of DR King, a movement for decency, a movement for humanity, a movement for justice, a movement for the people By the people! And it is something that hasnt been seen in this nation since the 60's!! And that is why so many of the people who were around in that time are being drawn back to it! The counter culture is alive and kicking, and the fact that it is youth standing up in conscious revolt, that is it youth speaking out against greed, intolerance, injustice and all the like should and does speak well for the future of this nation! So I can truly say that my evening with the Occupy wall street movement was a evening well spent, because something is stirring in America, and that something is CHANGE!!!!!POSITIVE CHANGE!!!!!

Slow to go(Obama & the Jobs bill)

AS usual President Obama is too slow to go when it comes to really fast tracking his legislation! The People are in the streets! It's practically insurrection over congress's inaction and instead of riding this wave, the president plays it in the middle! As Rick Perry has said of late Mr. president This is now about RISK! You need to risk a little of the political Capital that you have left and get out in front of this issue!! Your Jobs bill clearly failed because of politics and as you say, you are a man of the people, well WHERE are you???? The people are speaking, the Occupy Wall street Movement is something you need to embrace PUBLICALLY!!! Its a no-brainer!!! But as usual in being overly cautious, you have missed a prime political opportunity! Your efforts and the efforts of Occupy wall street are clearly synonomous, SO you need to Link up with them!!! They say speed kills, But in your case sir, Lack of speed is killing all your efforts!!!! Stop being so slow to go sir, and GO!!!!!!!!!

The company U keep( the differance between the tea party & the Occupy Wall street movement)

What a huge insult it is to compare the Tea party movement to the Occupy Wall St Movement! While the tea party stands up for millionares and the status quo, the Occupy wall street movement is pushing for real reform and equity, While the tea party lives and breathes class warfare(remember Joe the plumber) The Occupy wall street movement has went to war against the real enemy! The 1 percent who have feasted on the ignorance and social apathy of those who comprise the tea party! The tea party came into being for one reason and one reason only, to destroy the Black democratic presidency and the democratic control of congress! The occupy wall st movement came into being to address the greed and ramampnt disenfranchisment of everyday americans! Simply put there is no comparison! To take a page from Hank Williams Jr's playbook, It's like comparing Hitler to Moses!The Tea party is politically motivated, and controlled, the occupy wall street movement is people oriented and refuses to be politically connected or controlled There's a BIG differance! and It will be seen tomorrow all over the nation as they try to evict Occupiers!!!
The tea party is nothing more than the republican establishment,wolves in sheeps clothing! The Occupy Wall street is the latest in a long line of truly alturistic people movements in the spirit of Gandhi, in the spirit of DR King! And the Tea party has never kept such company!!

Post debate analysis & a letter to the 1 percenters!!!

Simply put last nights debate was much ado about nothing! For a economic and jobs debate few salient points were made, Herman Cain ventured ever further into "the rent is too damn high" territory, and for all their efforts the rest of the candidates simply were talking loud and saying nothing. Clearly until the primarys actually begin in 3 months ,we wont know who the true front runner and  potential nominee will be. And these debates have done nothing to exclude anyone from having a shot. There's another debate next week, hopefully it wont be as big a snoozer as this one was!

Niow a letter to the one percent

Hello job creators, we the 99 charge you, and only you with failing in your self-professed role! You have enjoyed the benefit of tax breaks, loopholes, and deregulation for nearly 12 years, 8 years of that under republican control, and unemployement has gone up during that time steadily! You keep crying about spending, except for when monies are being spent on you! Well as you can now see, it is the people, not you that are too big to fail! And you should be addressing the thousands in the streets around this nation with the same urgency as you did during the economic meltdown!
A great man once said, "ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country". I ask you job creators, what have you done for America lately? If China was in the same economic crisis we are in, do you think they would continue to outsource work, to hoard monies? Do you think Japan would? No! With but a word to their buisness communities, China and Japan  would put their people, their nation first! But you? I think we know the answer to that! Where would you be, job creators, without America? Without the american markets, the American people!? America built you, made you strong, made you successful! And how do you repay America, not with loyalty or pride, but a simple greedy focus on your bottom line! I think its time, Job creators, that, as that great man once said, dont ask what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country!!! And what you can do for your country right now is CREATE jobs! Bring back the jobs from overseas, stop outsourcing! Unfreeze the monies so lending can free flow, Put America first!!!! Put the American worker first not the dollar! It's what the 99 want and what America deserves!!!Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country and Job creators that means you!!!

Another blolivating session(the bloomberg republican debate)

So tonight we will be treated to yet another blolivating session on bloomberg television, the latest republican presidential debate.And ,with the pre primary field being narrowed down to Mitt Romney versus everyone else, it will be interesting to see and hear what will be done tonight! How much of the blame will be laid on President Obama, and how many  fallicies will be treated as reality? What outrageous moment will come from the republican audience, who have celebrated death and intolerance in past debates? Will Rick Perry, who is clearly in a do or die  position rise to the challenge, or flame out? Will Herman Cain prove himself a serious candidate, or simply token entertainment for the republican masses? And how much will they duck Michelle Bachman in thsi debate? I guess we'll all have to see, tonight on Bloomberg TV. But remember the 99 will be watching!!!!

Tone deaf politicians & media?(Occupy wall Street)

With the Music playing loud and clearly down on Wall Street and  around this nation, it is simply astounding how tone deaf our political leadership and media have become towards it! Between the politicians, in the face of people screaming to the contrary, fighting against taxing the rich, and the media trying, with all its might, to co-opt  and undermine the message being sent, its clear that Occupy wall street, like No Other Movement in recent history has put FEAR in the establishment! Fear in the national media, and fear in Political leadership! Because the reality here is that they are not calling the tune, they arent conducting the orchestra! The people have created a symphony of protest, a oveture of outrage! And for a system that has for so long been too unfair, too inequal, and too unjust for many, a system where 1 percent of the people have profitted corpulently,
the people are playing its swan song! And with political leaders and media leaders being so tone deaf to the song that is now swelling across america, I think the Old adage says it best, either lead, follow, or get out of the way!!! because REAL change may have finally come to America! Perhaps the most famous american quote of modern times was uttered by Ronald Reagan in germany during his time as president when he famously said"Mr. gorbachev TEAR down this wall!! Well now another wall of division is being addressed, this time in America. And while no leader of Reagans stature and position has come forward( clearly due to a lack of character and the courage to do so among our so called leaders of today) today, the american people who are down on wall street and throught america are speaking with one voice, and that one voice is saying TEAR DOWN THIS WALL STREET! Because the wall they have errected there is a wall that divides america economically,a wall that divides us socially, a wall which divides racially! The wall that is personifed by wall street is a great a obstacle to american progress, freedom and equality as the berlin wall ever was! And that wall has stood for far too long! And finally to the credit of the American people they are standing up and speaking out against it! When 1 percent of the population have 99 percent of the wealth,money and power, it is not a fair or equal system. When 1 percent of the population control 99 percent of the money,power & wealth it leads to and perpetrates inequalities in justice, freedom and sociology! It is classism at its worst! SO I join with the 99, as should every American in saying with one voice: TEAR DOWN THIS WALL STREET!
BECAUSE ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!

The counter culture lives!!!

It's the 60's redux on wall street as, with a resounding hello, the counter culture once again rises! And what better time than now, with a America awash in greed and corpulence, with a America filled with intolerance, and racism, with a America veering as far right as it can get!  It was only a matter of time before the counter -culture, the force responsible for such things as civil rights, unions, womens rights and so much more was awakened! And, as is allways the case, the 'establishment" has rushed to poo-pooh the efforts of these individuals, to castigize the Occupiers of Wall street as leaderless and without goal, even though that goal is omnipresent and clear. IT's the counter culture stupid!!! They are standing up(finally) against a culture and establishment in America that thinks its ok for 1 percent of Americans to have More gross wealth than the other 99 percent of Americans combined, they are standing up against greed and selfishness, they are standing up against racism and intolerance, they are demanding CHANGE!!! And given that I ask President Obama what are you waiting for? You want to galvanize the troops? Then you need to come out in support of this effort! The counter culture lives!! And America is better off for it!!!

In todays potpourri: If Chris Christie allows himself to be pushed and shoved to this presidential race, by those republicans and republican media who are only interested in hype instead of a substantive message, then he runs the risk of being politically ruined as Rick Perry has been! Stick to your word Gov. Christie, Stay out of it! Speaking of Rick Perry, what white person  out there doesnt have a racist skeleton in their closet? In a blink of a eye Perry's campaign has went from Sugar to crap! And it wont be long now before Gov Perry is on his way back to texas! How insulting is the Anyone but Mitt campaign being waged by republicans and republican media to Mitt Romney? He's been the only candidate of steady timber in the race for the republicans, but in the rush to appease the red meat fanatics they(the republicans) are ready to cast him aside at the drop of a hat! Frst perrys hat, and now Christie's! Mitts being treated like the Ugly girl at the dance, only to be chosen  when there's no other option and that in itself is sabatoging republican hopes! The president has said he wants the Jobs bill "bad" well then he needs to highlight the differance on his stance and the republican stance! And, by any and all means avoid the word or the premise COMPROMISE!!! This is a fight and he must simply fight it and win it!!! With the Niggerhead and Gay booing controversy, things arent looking too good for the republicans.  And with occupy wall street growing it will get a lot worse, especially if President Obama gets on and rides that wave! why Occupying wall street matters

There is a little protest for those of you who havent heard down on Wall Street in the NYC and while it hasnt yet become palatable to the "Establishment" media, you need to know and understand that Occupying Wall street does matter! And why does it matter you ask?  Well,with the unemployment rate being nearly double digits,   with millions of children and families living in poverty in America,  with thousands in America Homeless   thats why it matters! And, with all this going on in America, the greatest reason why it matters is that, while our elected lawmakers, the people who are supposed to fight against all that i have just cited, wont fight against people being poor and homeless and unemployed, they will fight to the death to make sure that the rich(wall streeters) arent taxed! They will sign off on untold billions to make sure Wall Street doesnt'fail"! That is Why Occupy Wall Street matters, to show America that the true spirit of America still exists! That in America there are people who still have heart and who still care! I hope with all my heart that those who fight the good fight down on Wall Street continue until the light that they deserve is shone upon them! Greed is not good for America, and the millions of unemployed, and the thousands of poor and homeless in the richest country in the world can attend to that fact!!!

Sarah Palin 2012 or never!!!

As Sarah Palin procrastinates and plays coy with whether or not she intends to run for president in 2012, I would say to her, that Sarah, its 2012 or never! If Sarah Palin gets in to the race for 2012, win or lose she automatically is in the hunt for 2016! She, by competing ,solidifies her political status among the republican party and conservatives. She, in effect, beomes LEGIT! But if she declines to run in 2012 then for all intents and purposes her political career, is over! And it will be a golden opportunity squandered! For Sarah Palin her situation has become Temple Grandinesque! She must summon up the courage to walk thru the open door, and yes into the eye of the Hurricane! Because if she does not, that door will be locked to her forever! The time has come Sarah, its now or never!!!!

The republican political circus!

With the desparate effort by the republicans to unseat the Incumbent president continuing more and more to resemble A  circus, the speculation continues to rise, and the door remains wide open, for every and anybody to get into the republican race! But the republicans must come to grips that be it Chris Christie, Sarah Palin, whomever, until the message becomes palatable to America WHO delivers it doesnt matter!Jumping thru hoops for Fox news and Sean Hannity doesnt matter, Juggling candidates for Rush limbaugh doesnt matter, candidates breathing fire for the Tea party's benefit doesnt matter! The current republican messgae, the class warfare, the us versus them, is part and parcel of the same Old republican playbook!The game plan that failed them in 2008, and the same game plan that will fail them again in 2012! Life is not a three ring circus and neither is Politics! And for the republicans this continued political search only needs for the clowns to be sent in!!!!

The voice of the people!(voices of dissent)

As the saying goes," I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it!" And there it is!  While we may not agree with any criticism offered against the first black president, by black people, they have every right to do so! And they have every reason to do so! For to parapharase another saying, What does the black community gain by having a black president, but in the process lose its soul? Now we all know as black people where Barrack Obama is and what he has gone thru, that is the reason why his support among us is so strong, We get it mr. president, we can relate! But when the people give voice to their concerns, their reservations, their questions they need to be heard! I refuse, as should any and all black people, any and all democrats to subscribe to the premise of blind allegiance, of marching in locked step! That is not for black people and it is certainly not for Democrats! The democrats  represent the voice of the people, and the voice of the people should never be silenced! As another "black" president once famously said "I feel your pain". That is the voice of dissent, that is the voice of the people, a people who mr. president ,as they bore you to the highest office in the land, endured and continue to endure the greatest amount of pain in this society and in this economic time! And they deserve to be heard, not dismissed! And when leaders in our community come forward expressing the pain and the voice of the people, they are to be commended, because they are doing their job, they are representing us, they are leading! This is the very foundation of America, when the founders spoke out against king george, and this must never be discouraged, because that is what makes america great!
So while Barrack Obama is our president and I will praise him and support him as a black man in america, I will not turn on my brother or sister simply because they decide to do what they are guaranteed by law to do in this nation, and that is speak their mind! And neither should any of  you out there in america!

Post Publican debate analysis!

Last nights republican debate turned into a star turn ,not for Rick Perry, as many in the media had hoped but for Mitt Romney, who, with succint correctness and , Horror of horrors , real personality, actually solidified his status as the front runner for the republican nomination! In their confrontation last evening ( the engineering of same which should be complained about by every other candidate who participated) Romney clearly looked far more polished, and Rick Perry looked Like He had never been a political debate! Unless Rick Perry makes substantial changes in his debating style, his candidacy is a goner! The debate had its moments, and I would say to Newt Gingrich, the unemployed arent to be "experimented" on. They are to be helped, period!
Didnt know that Herman Cain was a stage 4 cancer survivor. I salute U sir! Starting to see a bit of desparation in the Huntsman Bid. Ron Paul Top tier? Maybe at hogwarts but in the real world, abidicating all responsibility just doesnt fly sir! Love how they ducked Michelle Bachman last evening! Give em hell Michelle! Rick Santorum two words: Anger management! And the New kid on the block, the former New Mexcio Gov made great waves, too bad hes just a latecomer, maybe too late for his candidacy! But in the end two things wre solidified in this bloggers eyes regarding the Republican process, 1> Mitt romney is the clear front runner & 2> If Sarah Palin enters the race, nearly everyones else campaign  is History!

The debate tonight and the democratic future

As the Pubs debate tonight I am wondering if there will be, in 2012, a repeat of the democratic debacle of 2010. Because to be frank, nothing much has changed since then, the same democratic hierarchy remains in place, the same attitudes remain in place, and the same republican goal remains set. We have a tale of two machines, one that has been running on all cylinders since the  day after that fateful election in 2008 and another machine which continues to sputter and clunk on the political road! This debate tonight, like all the republican debates that have passed is a doorway from which we can view the future, and I dont like what im seeing! They say a rolling stone gathers no moss, but one thing it does gather is momentum, and momentum is something that, in politics, is hard to stop, and hard to catch up with! The democrats must realize that they are standing still while the republicans have been running this race for four years come this january! And if they dont get it together, the future, for Democrats and their supporters is not looking so Bright! So watch the PUBBY debate tonight, and tell me, DO U SEE WHAT I SEE?

2 state solution is the solution!

AS we continue   haggling over Palestine, it must be understood that a 2 state solution is indeed THE solution! As Palestine petitions for statehood, I say, give it to them, but let it be made to be understood right there on the floor of the general assembly of the United Nations that, with statehood comes responsibility! Because just as palestine wants its statehood respected and acknowledged, so too must they respect and acknowledge Israel! As Palestine wants the  right to exist as a state, so too must they respect Israels right to exist! If Palestine want to enter the world community of nations, it must remember and be prepared to accept the responsibility of being a state! And it must be made clear to Palestine that  with statehood comes responsibility and accountability! And that is what statehood would bring to the table, and that is why statehood is a good thing! Accountability and responsibility! Putting the ball squarely in Palestines court!  The 2 state solution! THE SOLUTION!

Class warfare=No class!

Much has been made as of  late about class warfare and who is waging it on capitol hill, but to anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of political history of the last 30 years knows, and  clearly realzies that it is the republican party and conservatives who have been waging class warfare against the poor and mionorities for over 30 years! For example: Reagans trickle down Economics, Class warfare! Newt gingrich's welfare reform, Class warfare! The Bush tax cuts, Class warfare! And of course the Tea Party and the fight against Obamacare , Class warfare! The sad fact is that in class warfare, only the rich elite class wins! And they will continue to do so as long as the republicans and conservatives mislead the all too willingly mislead in this nation!

Greed & politics( the real reason why!)

The president & the democrats have invested Billions into this economy for both Buisness and everyday americans alike, yet nothing seems to be working! No jobs are being created and the so called job creators are saying that its because of the buisness climate. Well to that I say B-S!!!!
again I said that the president and the democrats invested Billions of dollars into this economy, Billions! Taxes have been cut to the bone. As has regulation, Buisness couldnt ask for a better enviorment than this! So why arent jobs being created by the Job creators? 2 reasons! One, of course, is that a successful economy will insure that Barrack Obama is re-elected and the 'Job creators/REPUBLICANS dont want that! And 2 :Its because that America is the only place where they(buisness) has to live and operate under law and regulation, and where unions and collective bargaining keeps the buisness -employee relationship on a level playing field(until recently anyway!)
Where Human rights and dignity must be accepted and respected, and where a living wage prevails! Its not that Obama and the democrats have failed on the economy, its that republicans dont want him to succeed, and that the rest of the world is so welcoming to what corprorate greed entails, that it is not advantageous for the corporate world to Bring Jobs back to America or create them here!

Until America gets tough on the corporate world and comes together with the international community to end or check the economic exploitation, the poverty that exists worldwide will worsen, as will the pollution, and the wars and the revolutions and for Americans the Unemployment! its that simple! Its all about greed and politics!

Playing favorities?( and a bit about Sarah Palin)

It seems that the media is playing favorites as this election cycyle progresses! There seems to be a concetrtedf effort by the media to turn the republican race for the Presidential nomination into a two person race, and there also seems to be a concerted effort to force Michelle Bachman out of the race! Why? Why isnt say, Herman Cain, or Ron Paul garnering the same negative attention as Ms. Bachmann? Now I am definately not a supporter, but I do support fair play and equal opportunity! And every day we are bombarded in the media of how her campaign is on its last legs and yada yada yada! News flash, media is to inform, not to shape opinion and it shouldnt be , by any stretch , trying to shape the presidential race for its(media) benefit! So stop trying to run Michelle Bachman out of the race news media! Be objective, not with a objective! because that is not fair play!

As for Sarah Palin three words: Run Sarah Run! Enough said!

Obama as Atlas?

In the old greek myths it was Atlas who bore the weight of the world on his shoulders, and, judging from the cotninued bad news for the democrats and  their supporters in the electorial cycles, Obama may have to bear the weight of the democratic political world on his shoulders in the next 14 months! Because he is correct in his assumption that its not about getting him(Obama ) a victory in 2013, its about getting the democratic party and those who beleive and support them, and, by extension, him a victory! There was a lot of hope invested into this president, people invested their very futures into this president, and with things looking so tenous, people are right to be concerned!
In the next 14 months this president is going to have to shoulder the burden and make a atlas like effort to save ,not only his presidency, but the hopes and dreams of those who have invested so much into it! If he can pull it off, the political capital that was lost in the wake of the 2009 election will be restored to him and the agenda he so wanted to pursue can be brought to its fruition! But if not if will as if Atlas lost his burden, and the world came crashing down!

Post PUB debate analysis!

The madness of the tea partiers aside( and make no mistake that was as close to a klan rally as it gets) The debate last evening on CNN only proved whatI said in my post of Sept 8 about the last debate, that this race is wide open! The hype about Rick Perry has been completely dispelled! And he is now just another candidate running in a wide open field! And yes, like it or not, the door remains open if a certain geekbilly mom from Wasila Alaska finally decides she wants in! The clear winner of last evenings debate was Michelle Bachman ,who pressed hard on the issues! John Huntsman is desparately trying to get in, but until the field is thinned, he simply will have to wait. Rick Perry does have that down home Texas charm, But its going to take a lot more than that to win the nomination! Mitt Is definately looking and sounding like he wants it,but his acumen and intelligence was lost on the lynch mob mentality red meat tea partiers! And we wont even address Ron Paul, A so-called physician essentially saying that if someone was sick, theyre on their own(to which the tea partiers cheered!) As I said, this race aint over until it is indeed over, and all involved better be prepared to be in it for the long haul! Because that is excactly what its shaping up to be(media efforts to the contrary aside) a long haul!

The republicans were treated last evening to the Obama they didnt want to see!A fired up hitting on all oratory cylinders Obama! The president was in fine form last evening as he made the case for His Jobs bill. And as he spoke with the "firece urgency of now, the republicans may have realized last evening that, Polls and biased press aside, that President Obama May not be as easy of political pickings as they first thought! And if he(President Obama) Makes good on his promise to take his message on jobs across this nation, the republicans may indeed find themselves in trouble as 2012 approaches! Because indeed this Jobs situation demands   "fierce urgency" it demands a end to politics and it demands action. Because as the president said, "The american people cannot afford to wait until 2013, they need help now!" On a scale of 1-10 this performance by the POTUS was no doubt a 11! But now that the speechifying is dont, its time for the action! Because  in this unemeployment emergency, Action, from Washington DC Must speak louder than words!

In the aftermath of the Republican debate last evening( And yes mr Gingrich, its a debate, where issues and records are debated, not a Rush Limbaugh fail Obama fail rally!) It was clear that the race for the republican nomination is still wide open. Rick Perry didnt live up to the hype, and indeed Mitt Romney cemented his front runner status. John Huntsman remains a stalking horse and Michelle Bachman is only a moment away from the spotlight! This nomination will be up for grabs until at least after the caucuses  for the above named, and the door remains open If Sarah Palin or a surprise candidacy Ie:  Jeb Bush or Chris Christie decides to enter! But despite what the hype , the media, and the 'so-called' experts might try to tell you, this race remains wide open and with a nation to run in, I dont see this field narrowing any time soon! so we continue down the campaign trail folks!

showdown at the republican corrall!

There hasnt been this big of a showdown since the Earps faced down the gang in Tombstone! Tonight, when Rick Perry faces down Mitt Romney in the republican debate, shots will fly, and its is clear that Rick Perry, the newly media minted front runner ,will be the prime target!It will be interesting to see if the much hyped texas gov has any substance, or if indeed he is, as many are speculating, simply media hype! But tonight will be a evening of of political bullets and gunsmoke, and when it clears, whomever is left standing will enjoy the benefit of being the medias anoited one(unless the next big entrant into the race arrives!) So Political junkies and the like, cook up your finger foods, because its going to be a good one!!!

scorched earth politics and the swing vote

The political weekend aside, it is clear that scorched earth politics are at work in America. Because it is clear(at least to me anyway) that this unemployment situation, like many of the Problems we now face in America were manufactured! And that industry was the only thing manufactuing in America!   We pour billions into the economy and none of them are re-invested, we give Stimulus dollars and they arent even spent! The doors to employment are locked and closed to eveyday americans, and then the Government  hands are tied by those who would benefit the most from scorching the earth as they have done! Scorched earth politics plain and simple, and as he looks out over the now barren earth, the only question is: when will President Obama get more than a little angry about it? When will he call out those whom we invested billions of dollars into to no avail? When will he rebuke those who took stimulus dollars and did ngwith them? When will he(the president) address the scorched earth politics that have undermined his presidency?

That question aside, the president also needs to be very worried about the swing vote. Because it is that swing vote who he will need to keep him in office. The Black vote is solid for him, as is the democratic vote, but it is the swing vote that is the greatest question for Obama as he heads into 2012. For if hope & change has turned for swing voters into despair and disapointment, then Obama will indeed be, as Michelle bachman continually  touts "a one -term-president"!

The case for New stimulus(Obama's jobs speech)

With President Obama about to put the focus on Jobs In America, and with the republicans preparing to oppose it as a "stimulus ' plan, the president needs to make the case to the American people, and then press the case that  stimulus works and it is needed! He needs to cite the IMMEDIATE jobs that a new stimulus would create and the IMMEDIATE capital that it would infuse into the economy! Above all, the president must make the case and then pressthe fact that the Unemployment situation we are now in  is a issue for the here and now, and that it must be of priority! The American people are hurting right now, and they are demanding action! He( President Obama) needs to quote Reagan to the republicans who will talk about the deficit, in response to new stimulus, because after all, it was Ronald Reagan himself who said that deficits "dont matter" when weighed against the here and now! America is in a unemployment emergency, something we havent seen since the first Bush administration, and that is the primary economic issue and problem that America is facing and must solve! Its time for the political and the political lip service to end, and the president must press this forward in his speech! America needs investment and capital gotten to the American people, and it is needed now, not later! We dont need tax cuts and deregulation, because all that facilitates is hoarding and higher profit margins, not jobs! Simply put America is in a unemployment crisis, and it is government who must lead the way! More stimulus now, stimulus checks and stimulus jobs! its that simple!

Palin crashing the party ?

AS the next republican debate approaches, the question now foremost on republican minds is: Will Sarah Palin crash the party and enter the race for the republican nomination for president? The answer to that is: Why not?! It is , after all, A race, and a open race at that! She has all of the qualifacations of the front runners in the race, and their experience as well. She's a former Gov justs as Mitt Romney & Rick Perry are, and she is just as controversial and as conservative as michelle bachman is, so again why not! Sarah should get and continue to stir the republican pot. something she has done very well, and is yet to be creditied for by the republican establishment!

it is the hot air or is it just me?( the engative effect of excessive punditry in America.

Back when the media was the bastion of integrity in America, when newspaper journalism was the sword  of morality in America,back when punditry was virtually non-existant, America was a different place! Different and better politically, morally & socially! It was a america with a higher moral standard and compass. Where media supported and reinforced values and standards, and during that period, America fostered hope and dreams ,  America changed for the better! Civil rights and civil discourse were the law and the norm, but now, years later, the rise of Political punditry and the expansion of "social media"(and when i say social media, i dont mean facebook, I mean the nancy graces, fox news channels and rush limbaughs, THAT type of social media!)has led to a decline in integrity! The ceaseless chatter of pundits 24/7, not for the sake of news, information and journalism, which is what news and journalism was all about,but for its own self perpetration and validation! And that has cheapned us as a nation. Too many voices talking loud and saying nothing! AS the saying goes:too many cooks spoiling the soup! The media used to be the voice of the people, but now the peoples voice has been supplanted for the self service,  arrogance, and self-interest of todays media! This is not the media of Cronkite, who's celebrity was earned by integrity.   Can you imagine cronkite on Dancing with the stars? This is not the media of Woodward and Bernstein, and the differance in america is apparent because of it! In a time when the sustantive media of the past is sorely needed. todays media, with its excessive punditry, is sorely lacking in same(substance) the people have lost their voice, and it has been supplanted with opinion and the vapid speculation of pundits whos only interest is themselves! Where have you gone uncle walter? Because America sure needs you!

Compromise is not leading!

When president Obama came to power with a huge mandate, the american people spoke! They said we want you Barrack Obama to lead. Bolstered by the prospect of change the american people invested their vote and support to you, thinking that change had indeed come to america to quote a phrase! And now ,some 3 years later, how appalled those people must now be! Because nothing has changed, indeed Washington & America has gotten worse! You were the man who was supposed to lead the charge to change, the commander in chief, the HNIC! But instead of the general who would lead America to a new deal, A new day, you have become for all purposes, a doormat for and to the republicans, and the interests of the Status quo! And it is getting to the point where you are virtually allowing the republicans & and speaker boehner to wipe their feet on you! And now, with your presidecy hanging on the precipice, you suffer yet anothe rpublic debacle! When will enough be enough Mr. president? There is too much at stake, and far too many americans hopes and dreams invested within you to allow things to continue in this vein! Simply put sir, in order for people to follow you must LEAD!!!! And though you may be loathe to admit it, COMPROMISE is not LEADING!!! You were elected to lead, not follow or compromise, and its way past time you do so! This is rapidly turning into a last stand not only for you, but the millions of Americans who believed in and support you!It's time to take off the Kid gloves sir, its time to Lead! No more compromise, no more capitulation! Lead and America will follow!

WTH moments , JOBS and the coming showdown between Mitt & Rick!

Uh, when did Ronald Reagan become one of the two greatest president in modern history? Ronald Reagan was a nice guy and a great public figure, but he was no FDR! In these economic times there are only 2 presidents we need to be looking to, FDR who in the aftermath of the Great depression had the vision and foresight to create the New Deal, & Bill Clinton, who delivered the greatest economic & job expansion in modern history, as well as the only Budget surplus in modern history! That is the type of greatness America needs to aspire to in this hour of economic crisis! And speaking of Jobs, if President Obama can hold the line and the public spotlight on Jobs for the next 6 months he will be re-elected! But he is going to have to make the public see that Trickle down economic doesnt work! It's a recipe for the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer! Tax cuts dont work, they dont create anything but richer rich people! Time to stop feeding the public the BS about the buisness climate and the buisness community! They are nothing but pigs who have been wallowing at the trough for too long!it's time   to butcher those hogs mr. president! And lastly as far as the coming showdown between Mitt Romney & Rick Perry goes, this must be a defining moment for Mitt. He must stake himself out as THE candidate, The viable candidate, the candidate who can win! He must remind people about His Mass. miracle, about his health care template, and how he should lead into the future! Because if he doesnt, the republicans and the media will dump him like they dumped Sarah Palin for Michelle Bachman! There is no tomorrow for Mitt. this debate is simply do or die!

Irene Hurricane, not hype!

In the search for more fodder for the media grist mill, the media tried(and failed thankfully) to make a story out of Irene not being all that it was alle dged it was to be! But in a telling statement on the tabloid media, they missed the bigger picture in focusing on Irene's effect in Manhattan! Irene destroyed much of the eastern seaboard! the entire east coast up to boston and beyond suffered flooding and mass destruction,! And if the media turned its selective gaze to upstate NY, particulalry in the capitol region, they would see katrina level destruction!!! irene was a hurricane, not hype and this is a textbook example of all that is wrong with the national media! Like crabs in a barrel (the republican presidential field)

Like crabs in a barrel , the republican caididates are pulling each other down in a vain attempt to climb up to the top. And what was once a anybody but Obama race is fast becoming a anybody but Mitt Romney race! So what does it say of todays republicanism, when the only candidate they have who has a minute chance of garnering the across the board support republicans need to even contend is  the one they dont want? It shows that, like crabs in a barrel , todays republicans are out of control! Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin, the republican party, in this suicide misson to defeat  Obama are discarding and alienating anyone abd everyone  and each other! Perry attacks, Romney, Huntsman attacks Perry, Rove attacks Palin, Crabs in a barrel plain and simple! And anyone who has ever seen crabs in a barrel knows that this approach only leads to the bottom of the barrel, never the top! But as the saying goes ,a leopard cant change its spots, and the republicans definately cant stop being crabs!

the King Memorial (recognize & remember!)

AS the DR king memorial becomes a forever reality this sunday, We in america need to recognize how great a  American Dr king was, and remember what he stood for, fought for and died for!
 This man, this black man took America by the hand and dragged it, kicking and screaming out of the darkness of racism and discrimination! He forced America to see itself as it really was, and put it on the path to its own salvation! Because ,as we have seen throught history, a house divided cannot stand! DR King showed all America, what it could truly be, he showed them the way to the mountaintop, the path to the promised land!And while we have not taken any steps to get us closer to the promised land(despite what a deluded few may beleive) we do know the way! And America must never forget that whether or not we get to that promised land, where little white girls and black boys can play together unencumbered by the chains of racism and hatred, that it was Dr king who found the path, who opened the door, who showed us the way! He gave his all for his country ! He won our greatest victory. He changed America and truly made it the land of the free, the land of liberty! And Just as he towered over this land in life and word and deed, now should he do so allways in monument & memory! Thank you Dr king!

Unsung(the CBC)

Clearly the unsung heroes  of the Obama administration has to be the congressional black caucus, because who but they have been there thru thick & thin for the president? When people were jumping ship on everything from the stimulus to the debt ceiling, who was standing their like a rock behind and beside the president? The CBC of course(backed by the black vote)! And as the president prepares once again to sail thru stormy political seas, he can take comfort and security in the fact that no matter the political waves that buffett him, the CBC will allways be stalwart for him, and the Black vote remains the REAL wind in his political sails!
